By Ken Gosse
It’s Melting, Melting …
God had more plans for the ark, once completed,
but climate change melted the iceburg he needed.
The Here and Now
In the mood or in the need,
our favorite time to do the deed.
Uncoupleting
Keep your couplets surreptitious
if you think your lover’s suspicious.
Knoetry
A lot of nonsense now and then
escapes the pens of aging men.
They’re Mighty, Alrighty
“The pen is mightier than the sword,”
but far less legible than the keyboard.
The Precythm of Rhythm
There’s nicety
in precisety.
The Fair Lady’s Fair Advice
Rosemary told me, “As thyme passes,
parsley advice from sage wise asses.”
A Bit of Drivel
Cute dribble of a baby’s drool
in old age makes us look the fool.
A Cowardly Lion, Yip Harburg, and Rudyard Kipling Walked Into a Bar
What makes their spawn pass gas like thunder?
Roughage!
It’s a Toss-Up
Artifice may turn out nice
when poets roll their muses’ dice.
