By Destiny Anderson

I am learning how to let go of a life I thought would last forever.
Some days it feels like I am falling apart in slow motion,
and other days it feels like pieces of me are finally falling into place.
My girls are the reason I keep standing,
even when my world feels strange and unfamiliar.

Everything feels unreal right now.
The house is quieter in a different way,
the routines are changing,
and the person I used to be in that relationship
is slipping off me like a layer I outgrew.

This separation hurts,
but it also shows me how strong I am becoming.
There is a small, steady part of me
that knows this is the beginning of something better,
something calmer,
something meant for us.

I am shedding a version of myself
who tried so hard to hold everything together.
Not because she was weak,
but because she carried too much for too long.
Now I am stepping into a new chapter
where my girls and I can grow in peace,
where I can breathe again,
where love looks different but softer,
and where the future finally feels like ours.
