By Toko Hata
The distant houses under the ice-blue sky
the wisp of dawn
fizzed and eroded until the sky, the townscape
was all one
I pressed the palm
onto the radiator
the tips crackled
The world on the other side
of the line was awake
but my town dreamt, still.
