Alone
Love, Entered my life with abandon, recklessly causing unwanted emotions, reviving the lost hope of happiness. Reason, Escaped the test of thought, and was buried by loves intensity, but continued to struggle to stay alive. Reality, Randomly dismissed and forgotten, having no part of love, joined reason in its isolation. Loneliness, My life-long trusted companion, please don’t linger far away, I fear you must rejoin me soon. For I do not believe in love, and this feeling masked in beauty will soon depart, leaving me where I will forever dwell…Alone.
Only in Dreams
I have never seen teardrops that haunted a troubled mind. As deeply as the ones she cried the night she left love behind. I have never felt loneliness as vivid as that night. When she built her wall and closed her mind driving love from her sight. Then I found another way to hold her in my heart. My dreams are my very own. In them, we never part. The dreams are warm and tender as I look into her face. We hold each other tightly, in this, our private place. The night is always welcome. That’s when she comes to me. Then we join our souls together. In dreams, our spirits are free. The darkness is my friend and I bid it, forever stay. It’s the only time I feel her love
File Cabinet of Dreams
Kill that dream, stop that smile.
For after a while, you must file
your life it seems, by those dreams.
God does not file lives alphabetically.
He files dreams systematically.
It’s been awhile, since God smiled.
And opened the file cabinet,
where I am an inhabitant.
So in you’re looking for me,
look under C,
C for cold,
for I got old.
And my dreams died.
Miracle
I’m living in a dreamland, I’ve pulled you here with me. You resisted the force with reason, but the trip was meant to be. Happiness defies your reason, we must not lose this chance to take one last brave action, to teach our hearts to dance. I’ll try to change life’s course, if you’ll join me in this task. To help me form this miracle, to have happiness that will last. If you’re willing to give, your sanity and her soul. I am willing to give to you, my life, forever to hold. To be brave is a miracle, to trust is our last test. To place your fearful spirit in mine, that’s where it’s meant to rest. The hot summer’s night, will pass as the sands, shifts in moving patterns, within the lives of man. Some accept the changing patterns, that form in random ways. Some bravely change their patterns, into a complicated maze. Life’s maze is near impossible, to navigate at will. But if you choose to change your life, I promise the void, I’ll fill. So, stay here in my dreamland. Make miracles every day. Please stay here in my dreamland, where the world is far away. And when the time comes, to rejoin the human race. The love and dreams of life we’ve shared will never be erased.
