A Blur

Buildings caught his throne forever,
Like a glance half-forgotten, they lingered on.
The frozen memory, a photo carried in his eyes,
Of a past shade in the meadow, now forever gone.

The buildings had faded, scraps tearing and falling within,
The tiles, like a mouth, full and red to see.
His tears had tourists, his stranger looks and,
A top our distance, swelling visited a grains trees air.

Swelling gale swept through his hair,
In a spiraling beauty, dispersed across the throat.
Erupted drowning the gale, cloudless in its wake,
He saw everything and stared, as her face began to bloat.

A blur in the squinting eyes
And a lopsided smile underneath

The life in camera, the buildings the up in calling.

She walked in pollen sky, swinging.
A yellow in which blue couldn’t live by.
_____
Smile in the background, forever etched into this heartfelt echo.

Bed Bugs Bite

You live the dreams of all men:
Never leaving the cushion of the bed.
You come to share warmth,
To hide away under soft blankets.

A small prick is all you ask
               “You won’t feel it”
                A tender assurance
And visits us in our dreams

But we only look at the bloody mess you make
But we only curse the itchy welts

We never appre–

Nevermind,
               the blood loss must’ve
made me delusional

We must
               Throw away the blankets,
               Burn the mattress,
Drown them in soap and water,
Leave the house and never return,

But even then you will survive
             and follow me
To another bed.

I Stay On Eros

A crushed heart tossed into the night sky.
Others ridicule and point
	“A crumpled potato”
	“A flawed exterior”

A silvery shine on its surface
but forever marred
by the dark freckles across its face

In shattered silence it watches from behind the curtains
	but never on your stage

It basks under your light
And forever spins around –
Just for that one chance
To collide…

But the chances slip out like oil
	through my desperately interlocked fingers.
So, in the shadows I remain
And on Eros I stay
