In your eyes I exploit the warm barriers of pessimism Its my comfort place, My safe space And now, its glow rains on my face As I dance on the blades of its malice In your eyes I’m anointed the cold colours of truth Because I shriek at the touch Of the cold shackles of lies And I whisper stories So old, Gloomy, but wise. In your eyes I’m a striking entity of pity All the connotations of sympathy I’m an enticing haze of sorrow With promises of scorching pain that will brush against your skin, so lightly It leaves your follicles lusting. In your eyes I’m titled the villain with the prettiest smile The protagonist with the hope corroding cries The supporting characters with the hope supporting lies And the plot that begins by saying goodbye It's not my intention to leave, But I hate the way I look in your eyes
What wonderful imagery in this poem, Blue!! Great job. I loved it 🙂

I found Blue Carrisole’s piece “In Your Eyes” fascinating in the way the narrator pictures himself (or herself). To write: “In your eyesI’m a striking entity of pity” or “In your eyes I’m titled the villain with the prettiest smile” Makes the reader really get a picture of what the narrator is trying to say. The last two lines are also intriguing: “It’s not my intention to leaveBut I hate the way I look in your eyes.” That’s worth a great deal of literary analysis. Frank Kowal
