Time For Change
In the midst of fear and chaos there can be a new light of hope. Though there is a fast disease that has taken over all of us in this land of violent confusion. People marching the streets. Peacefully protesting hate and the injustice that is brought to the people of the minority that have been unjustly killed. Tragic ends to innocent lives. The marchers speak on the behalf of the victims that cannot. Indigenous people are missing or found floating in rivers. The powers that are in charge would not move from their desks. Treating the victims as pieces of paper not humans until the remaining people screamed out for an investigation to why no one pretended to care. Country under a Communist reign, leaving its citizens poor and weak. Living in places that are falling apart. Screams and marches of the people wanting a wall to fall so the outside world could come in. Freedom given to the people. For centuries voices have cried and fought for a new life for people who could not. Everyday their hands are out for the deserved help of others. Someday there will not be a need of these voices in hope these time will change.
Submitting To The Wind
Veins are filled with anger the blood is pulsing through hardly recognize self in the red rage mirror. Not used to this emotion as calm is the usual guiding force of my soul Stand alone in this battle of the internal beast suppress that is wanting to get out, to control Have to remember to close my eyes open my body and breathe let nature take over to free the demons inside submit to the rolling wind and feel it flow away peacefully
He Howls Without
Pacing around with passion. Pushing, pulling in his veins. He howls without his mate. She is missing, his fear is forever as he urgently searches with lost eyes and a burning soul. He howls without. She is his partner in life and he feels her loss. There is a hole in his heart. He howls without. She is the love of his life. He is scared he will never find her again. The panic of not being with her sets in. He howls without her.
Keep Me Strong
Staring out into the world, watching the madness being orchestrated before me. People are checking on the wellness of others only to take the life of the ones asking for help. Pepper spray being sent to break down the voices of the peaceful. Only reason they are marching is because of centuries old beatings that never stopped that should have never started. Paranoid eyes are looking all around. No one knows who to trust what the intentions of others are. Everyone has innocence lost. It will never come back. All my thinking is being questioned in my confused mind. Leaves it all racing. Have to change my way in how all is handled and digested to be more open. Please hope in all keeps me strong.

I was touched by Andrew Scott’s poem “He Howls Without.” Everyone feels pain when their partner in life is gone. Mr. Scott’s words “There is a hole in his heart” expresses how we all feel. Frank Kowal
