Johnny Ace

I am the unknown hero

Endless sums adding to zero

There is a castle made of sand

Crumbling from a wave

Motion from the ocean

That none can understand

Let alone save

Don’t tell me this is a new song

Just sing it strong

And act like it does belong

Cause if the tune is hip

I’ll take that trip

Besides the grass

Let’s everything pass

So deal the cards

But take all the jokers out

Cause life is hard

Without a doubt

Please don’t laugh at my pain

Love is never vain

So if I want to carry my cross

Well that’s my loss

Life was meant to be lived with grace

It’s a great task

A Case of the Downs

I’m a down to Earth boy

I’m a down to Earth boy

Never had no friends

So I used a rock as a toy

I’m a down to Earth man

I’m a down to Earth man

Never had a lady

So I did the best I can

I’m a creature of the mud
I’m a creature of the mud

I used to be dirt

Then Allmighty God sent the flood

I used to laugh at money

I used to laugh at money

I saw what you could buy in Vegas

And it wasn’t so funny

I used to be a sad loner

I used to be all alone

Then I met Jesus

The greatest man I’ve known

I try to keep humble

I try to keep humble

I walk the straight and narrow

But I often stumble

I’m a down to Earth boy

I’m a down to Earth boy

One day I hope I’ll make heaven

And sing with the saints in joy
