It peaked around the corner at me this morning
then like a friendly ghost
it hid.
The friendly part is my favorite.
The haunting part, not so much.
I did feel it.
It was there.
I know it’s coming back and it’s coming back to stay, at least for a few months any ways.
Some years,
actually most years
its full of the strongest emotional memories.
The friendly part is my favorite.
The haunting part, not so much.
Some years
actually most years,
I wish it could stay longer,
but I also understand why it can’t.

Hi! Can you fix where a word is left out in my poem?
Opening line should read “ it peaked around the corner AT me” That same line towards the end is also missing the work AT.
Thank you so much! It’s an honor to be in your journal.
