By Duane Anderson

The weather change was a welcomed change,
one from negative degrees to one of mid-sixties
causing the snow to melt,
the formation of puddles,

and flowing streams into the streets,
just what two little boys were waiting for
as they rode their strider bike and peddle car
through the water,

loving every minute of it,
not missing a single puddle of opportunity,
and not knowing or caring
if their shoes and clothes got wet.

Fun overcame any dirty clothes,
clothes they would not have to wash.
A new playground became available,
and there was nothing to stop them from enjoying it.
