By Kelly Okoniewski

My heartbeat follows the rhythm,
Of the sound of the sea.
Each wave a pulse of life,
That is a part of me.

Waves crash and smack the rock,
Troubles in me stir.
My turbulence manifest,
With every roar and whir.

Then the calmness of the tide,
Brings peace to me.
Everything else forgotten,
Just me and the sea.
