By Dominic Moore

Faces shout my name
entering the place I played center stage
but now I perform in the audience.
Rainy drive home
and a silent kiss on the cheek
are my accompanying thoughts
at curtain call.
The walk upstairs grows longer, eventually
reaching to the damp clothes
that have sat too long in the wash.
Fistfuls of fabric enter the dryer
my last action is pulling fistfuls of fabric
over my eyes, the show is over.
