you showed up in the middle of the night,
abandoned truck tires on our frozen ground.
the scent of ashes in the air, proof we´d forgotten flight,
and life and smell and sound.

the autumn sky mourning my lost joy,
i´ve fallen silent. I´ve fallen further and further away
from myself. i fell away from you- toy
dolls with abandoned hearts just keep beating and beating.

you watches the lights fade to black when the curtain shine
dimmed. i watched our storybook fall to pieces
tank tops in maroon, and the glisten of the rimmed
moon, i watched it fall to pieces.

¨it was a day like any other, love¨ but it wasn´t,
darling. in the graveyard of
lost memories, here lays a blood moon
and a dove.
