Long gone are the leaves of fall
Long gone are the people outside,
Hoping they would find a good pumpkin.
But I’m here.
Inside,
Looking out the window
covered in frost.
And I’m waiting,
To do everything I missed in the fall.
To do everything I missed in every season.
Summer, spring,
Fall.
I couldn’t do it in summer, it was just too hot.
I couldn’t do it in spring, my allergies were just too awful.
I couldn’t do it in fall, I was just getting used to the cold.
But now it’s winter.
And the world surrounding me,
Is watching and waiting with baited breath.
I can’t make any more excuses.
Because if I do
I’ll miss everything again.
