By Jim Bates

After the snowstorm
Winter's soft gentle beauty
Snow on evergreens.

At the skating rink
Happy folks spin and swirl
A winter ballet.

Big cold moon rising
Moonlight streaming brilliantly
Icy land sparkling.

Bright morning sun
Birds flit through snow covered trees
Singing merrily.
