By Langa Moore

My fellow brothers and sisters
Please have mercy
Aren't we all Africans
We were cradled in the same continent

I know life is hard
I know jobs are scarce
I came here to look for help
Not to be a problem
Not to steal your jobs

My fellow brothers and sisters
Please spare my life
At least let me go
to the land of my ancestors
In one piece

My fellow brothers and sisters
Please hear my screams
Please take off the burning tyre
Around my neck
At least let me go to take care of my children
Even with nothing

Please stop sprinkling petrol
All over my body
At least let my loved ones
See my body
In one piece

My fellow brothers and sisters
I came here in peace
Please let me return back
To where my ancestors lie
Not in pieces
We are one Africa
