The Hesitation
I hear the birds chirping
and the blaring of music,
My head tells me to go,
but my heart stops
As if ten pounds
weighted each foot.
My brain halts
from exhaustion.
Everything in front of me
feels gone.
I stifle as I feel a friendly pat
on my shoulder.
And I turn back
The Dull Things
Rocking toys on the top shelf A depressing looking blonde lady, Rusty floor surrounded with an Antique rug. The top chairs are stained with colorful flags. Vivid glass encloses grimy gold pieces Crooked books on the old red shelves, As the children stare at the empty and hollow room.
The Bus Stop
Black Eyes messy covers, plain Grooves rumple gap brown are his freckles. his peering eyebrows, he and the curly t-shirt, Thick arched teeth; Furrow surrounded in the middle, Black White supine wrinkled face Ugly creased smiling mustache. The man sits Softly at the bus stop.
