“I talk to god but the sky is empty”

Sylvia Plath

I love the breeze through my window at midnight,
the stars and the clouds and the moon, full,
embraces me in light.

I love, love, love her.

Shouting into the void:
Is all of this love going somewhere?

In her absence I find myself searching
Longing, hoping for a touch-
This love grows within me,
bright and passionate.

This love is you, warm, and embracing.

The moon is full and bright tonight,
I see you in the reflection
and enjoy the gentle caress
of your hand on my cheek,
from the breeze through
my open window.

You’re still somewhere.
