2020
New Decade
New Beginning
Years after graduation
But learning forevermore
Expressing gratitude for acquiring knowledge
Yet never forgetting what was taught in kindergarten
Play nice
Be nice
Do not judge books by their covers
(not to mention people)
Because a cover really is not always the book
Open eyes
Open hearts
Love myself selflessly
Be myself unapologetically
Never taking life so seriously
Because the real world is what it is
And that is the way of the world
And I am glad that I am a poet
Because my family and *true* friends know it!
