“None of them knew the color of the sky”

—Stephen Crane

How can one report on tragedy? None
Of the academics can offer explanation of
The role of journalism in tragedy. Am I an outsider to them,
Getting the facts straight as they sort out them
Who are no longer with us? What those who knew
Them? Is personal bias discoloring to the
News? Can a TelePrompTer be a pulpit, the
Place where a community, state, or nation of
Our neighbors be at peace? What color
Should we make the banner? What should the headline of
The story be? Should it highlight violence and misery, the
Victims lying on the ground with eyes to the sky?
