Save the piles of earth that hold their bones”
An evening painted with moonlight bright save
A lone graveyard hidden by glen and the
Kudzu o’er telephone wire, piles
Of history lay to rest for now. Of
Saints, Sinners, and inbetweeners in earth
Buried hold the answers to questions that
Have plagued the living. These resting may hold
Their tongues for eternity until their
Lord’s coming to resurrect their dry bones
